Holding a successful cruise event can do wonders for your business. It is a great way to keep in touch with existing clients and entice some potential new
customers, hopefully converting some non-cruisers! These events also help raise your profile locally and help position you as the local cruise expert.
WHO WILL BE ORGANISING THE EVENT?
These events work well as a team effort, so try and get as many people as possible involved from your agency.
WHO WILL YOU BE INVITING?
Previous clients as there will be new news to tell. Non-cruisers who have may have expressed interest in a cruise before. Perhaps even partner with a local business and invite their customers too.
WHAT KIND OF EVENT WILL YOU BE HOLDING?
Do you want the event to be on small or large scale? It could be a cosy afternoon tea travel showcase or a cruise evening presentation.
WHERE WHERE WILL YOU HOLD YOUR EVENT?
The event could be held in your office, a local restaurant or café, or perhaps the local town hall.
Ensure that the venue is easy to find and has public transport links and/ or car parking.

WHEN WILL YOU HOLD THE EVENT?
As it’s part of Cruise Month, any time in September. You will know when works best for you and your team. What days are you likely to get most of your target customers to attend? It’s always worth checking what other events are happening that may prevent people from being able to attend.
REMEMBER
Even if the event does not achieve everything you had hoped for – the most important thing is you are doing something and raising your profile!
They could become an annual occurrence, or something for your clients to look forward to in the future.
